The regulatory regime in India provides a strong framework that makes sure SIPs, even from the SBI, operate with utmost transparency while looking after the best interests of investors. In a recent interview with a state-run newspaper, Vinay Tonse, managing director and chief executive officer of SBI Mutual Fund, said: "No other scheme comes close to the contribution of SIPs to wealth creation and financial planning by SBI Mutual. Our wide reach in core bank branches and banking relationships, as well as digital platforms, have played a crucial role in making it easy for investors to start and manage SIPs."
